Attendance
Can I thank
the majority of families who got their children in on Tuesday. Lots
of children have managed to come in every day since September which
is a terrific achievement. The great majority of children have very
good attendance and this reflects in their work.
However,
overall attendance for the school is still poor and is being kept
this way by a small number of families. I have tried to be as
supportive and understanding as I can be of their circumstances but
am now left with little choice to put matters in the hands of the
Educational Welfare Service and ask them to start issuing penalties.
I urge us all to work for improved attendance in the New Year. |
