Curriculum - Physical Education (PE) and
Games
Physical Education and Games
We believe that physical education is very important for the
emotional/physical health of our children. The children not only learn
how to throw and catch but they learn to understand the need for
sharing, commitment and fairness. Coordination and motor skills are
enhanced in these lessons which benefits a child's all round
development in these critical years of growth.
Throughout the school there are six areas of activity; games, dance,
gymnastics athletics, outdoor activities (netball, football etc) and
swimming. A balance of individual and team, co-operative and
competitive activities, aims to cater for each pupil's abilities and
preferences.
All
children enjoy one indoor PE lesson and one outside Games lesson each
week.
