Before we could start we had to think about what we wanted the final product to look like.

We rolled the clay and made a sphere.

 Then moulded the clay to make thumb pots.

We then had to score a slip the clay to join the two halves back together.

Next we moulded and shaped the clay to create our shells

We coloured our shells by mixing different shades of brown using three primary colours

We make the shells stronger and  look glossy by adding PVA glue to our paint.
